Tag Questions

Tag অর্থ জুড়ে দেওয়া, Question অর্থ ‘প্রশ্ন’। Tag question এর অর্থ প্রশ্ন জুড়ে দেওয়া । কথোপকথনের সময় বাক্যের শেষে, যে সমর্থনসূচক প্রশ্ন সংযোগ করা হয়, তাকে Tag Question বলে।

Tag question Example

It is a nice bird, isn’t it?

এখানে,

• প্রথম অংশকে বলে Statement / Sentence.
• এবং দ্বিতীয় অংশকে বলে Tag.
• Statement বা প্রথম অংশ Affirmative হলে, Tag Question টি Negative হয় । আর Statement Negative হলে Tag Question টি Affirmative হয় ।
• সহজ ভাষায় – Affirmative sentence = Negative Tag Question.
  Negative sentence = Affirmative Tag Question.
• উপরের বাক্যের Statement অংশটি Affirmative হওয়ায়, Tag অংশটি Negative হয়েছে। নিচের Tag Question করার নিয়মগুলো দেখলে, আমরা আরও ভালোভাবে বুঝতে পারব।

Tag question করার সহজ নিয়ম (Basic)

Tag Question করার নিয়ম জানতে হলে, আমাদেরকে ৪টি জিনিস মাথায় রাখতে হবে। যথাঃ ১. Auxiliary Verb (সাহায্যকারী ক্রিয়া), ২. সাহায্যকারী ক্রিয়ার সাথে n’t (Sentence Affirmative হলে বসবে), ৩. Subject এর Pronoun, ৪. শেষে প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন।

Tag Question এ Auxiliary Verb ও Not এর ব্যবহার

বাক্যের প্রথম অংশ বা Statement যদি Affirmative হয়, তাহলে Negative tag question গঠন করতে হয়। Negative tag question গঠন করতে Auxiliary verb এর সাথে n’t যুক্ত করতে হয়। Negative Tag question -এ Auxiliary verb গুলোর সংক্ষিপ্ত রূপ ব্যবহৃত হয়। নিচে একটি ছক দেওয়া হলোঃ

Tag Question Rules Bangla – Grammatically

Rule: 1

বাক্যের প্রথম অংশে Auxiliary verb থাকলে এবং বাক্যটি Affirmative হলে, Tag করার সময় – A/V+n’t + Sub এর Pronoun + (?) বসাব। যেমনঃ

• Rahim has done the work, hasn’t he?
• They are playing, aren’t they?

একই নিয়মে,

বাক্যের প্রথম অংশে Auxiliary verb থাকলে এবং বাক্যটি Negative হলে, Tag করার সময় – A/V + Sub এর Pronoun + (?) বসাব। যেমনঃ

• Rahim hasn’t done the work, has he?
• They aren’t playing, are they?
