Assertive to Interrogative Rules

গতবারের শীট থেকে আমরা Assertive Sentence সম্পর্কে জেনেছি। আজ আমরা Interrogative Sentence সম্পর্কে জানব ।

Interrogative Sentence কি এবং চেনার উপায়ঃ

Interrogative শব্দের অর্থ প্রশ্নবোধক । যে সকল বাক্য দ্বারা কোনো প্রশ্ন করা হয়, সে সকল বাক্যকে Interrogative sentence বলে । Interrogative sentence সাহায্যকারী verb (am/is/are/was/were ইত্যাদি) অথবা WH (who/how/when/what/which ইত্যাদি) দিয়ে শুরু হয় এবং শেষে জিজ্ঞাসা চিহ্ন (?) বা interrogative চিহ্ন থাকে ।
যেমনঃ Can you do the work? এখানে, বাক্যের শুরুতে Can আছে (যা একটি সাহায্যকারী Verb) এবং বাক্যের শেষে (?) আছে ।

Assertive to Interrogative করার নিয়ম

Rule – 1
বাক্যে সাহায্যকারী Verb থাকলে Interrogative করার সময় = সাহায্যকারী Verb + n’t + Sub + বাকি অংশ + (?)
Example:
Assertive: He is going to school. Interrogative: Isn’t he going to school?
Rule – 2
বাক্যে সাহায্যকারী Verb এবং not থাকলে Interrogative করার সময় = সাহায্যকারী Verb + Sub + বাকি অংশ + (?)
Example:
Assertive: He is not going to school. Interrogative: Is he going to school?
Rule – 3
বাক্যে সাহায্যকারী Verb না থাকলে Interrogative করার সময় = Don’t/ Doesn’t/Didn’t + Sub + V1 + বাকি অংশ+ (?)
Example:
Assertive: He goes to school. Interrogative: Doesn’t he go to school?
Rule – 4
বাক্যে সাহায্যকারী Verb না থাকলে + not থাকলে Interrogative করার সময় = Do/Does/Did + Sub + V1 + বাকি অংশ + (?)
Example:
Assertive: He does not go to school. Interrogative: Does he go to school?
Rule – 5
বাক্যের শুরুতে Sub এ Any থাকলে No, Never থাকলে Ever এবং No থাকলে Any লিখব । [ বাক্য পরিবর্তনের নিয়ম অপরিবর্তিত থাকবে। Example: Assertive: Anybody goes there. Interrogative: Does nobody go there?
Assertive: I never go there. Interrogative: Do I ever go there?
Assertive: Nobody can do it. Interrogative: Can anybody do it? Rule – 6
Everybody/Everyone/All থাকলে Interrogative করার সময় = Everybody/ everyone/all এর পরিবর্তে
Who + Doesn’t/Didn’t + V1 + বাকি অংশ +(?)
Example:
Assertive: Everybody goes there. Interrogative: Who doesn’t go there?
Rule – 7
Nobody/None/No one থাকলে Interrogative করার সময় = Nobody/None/No one এর পরিবর্তে
Who + বাকি অংশ + (?)
Example:
Assertive: No one can go there. Interrogative: Who can go there?
Rule – 8
Every + Noun থাকলে Interrogative করার সময় = Every এর পরিবর্তে Is there any + Noun +
Who + Doesn’t/Didn’t + V1 + বাকি অংশ +(?)
Example:
Assertive: Every man goes there. Interrogative: Is there any man who doesn’t go there?
Rule – 9
There is + no জাতীয় শব্দ থাকলে Interrogative করার সময় = There is no এর পরিবর্তে
Is there any + not জাতীয় শব্দের পরের অংশ +(?)
Example:
Assertive: There is no student like Rahim. Interrogative: Is there any student like Rahim?

Assertive to Interrogative Exercises

1. Man is the maker of his own fortune. (Int.)
2. 2. To kill time is to commit suicide. (Interrogative)
3. Patriotism is a noble virtue. (Interrogative)
4. 4. No one can deny its necessity. (Interrogative)
5. To make a civilized society, there is no alternative to reading books. (Int.)
6. 6. Nobody respects him. (Int.)
7. It matters little if a man lives many years or not. (Interrogative)
8. 8. He never thought of his own happiness. (Int.)
9. At present, it is increasing alarmingly. (Interrogative)
10. 10. In fact, all can’t be optimistic. (Interrogative)
11. Suddenly I noticed a very nice deer. (Interrogative)
12. 12. Everybody knows this. (Interrogative)
13. It is not a difficult task. (Interrogative)
14. 14. He makes good results in all exams. (Int.)
15. He inherited vast property from his father and sister. (Interrogative)
